Nearly 135 days after Russell Martin's first press conference as Rangers head coach, his replacement Danny Rohl faced the media at Ibrox for the first time.

The scale of the task ahead of him is well known, given his predecessor's chaotic and unsuccessful four-month tenure.

The ex- Wednesday boss was accompanied by club chairman Andrew Cavenagh, along with the frequently questioned duo of sporting director Thelwell and CEO Patrick Stewart.

However, what precisely did we learn from the 36-year-old coach's first public appearance as Rangers boss?

The Manager's Primary Focus - Victory is Everything

One thing emerged loud and clear from the new coach's initial presentation in front of the Scottish media - he understands the necessity to win matches, and do so quickly.

The previous manager Martin lasted only 17 matches and 123 days in charge, so the inquiry emerged about what timeframe Rohl thinks is reasonable to transform the struggling team.

Although deftly avoiding a direct answer that could bring later expectations, Rohl's message was very evident.

"With hope as soon as possible," he stated. "That is essential.
"In this business you have limited opportunity. You can discuss future plans but it's understood it's about the short-term and that period involves securing victories. This is my requirement.
"One thing remains obvious - I need all players to comprehend how we want to play. I return to my main theme: it's winning, it's attractive and unity. If you follow this sequence, I believe that I'll stay very long here."

Expectations are Normal

Martin required a police escort to exit the stadium after his last game in charge.

We've seen how hostile situations can turn at sports teams when results are poor. Demonstrations have nearly become a regular aspect of the matchday atmosphere on each part of Glasgow these days.

As the club's most youthful manager in history, the inquiry asked about what qualities Rohl believes he has that would enable him to handle, never mind excel, in one of the highest-pressure roles in UK soccer?

"In my opinion expectations in football are standard," he stated. "You must learn that very quickly.
"I think some people might mention my youth but I have been 16 years on this path. I experienced a great opportunity to be at Bayern Munich and serve as only an assistant manager, but I experienced what it means to manage a team and the demands you face.
"You begin winning games and then some critics will say you need to produce entertaining football. That becomes the stage but precisely my intention. I enjoy those expectations and I look forward about the future."

Thelwell Defends Striker Acquisition & Appointing Family Member

There were plenty of inquiries from journalists for Thelwell.

Significant attention has concerned the appointment of Robbie Thelwell as recruitment chief, with fans unconvinced about his qualifications for the role.

However, he justified and clarified the decision to bring his son to the club.

"It's always uncomfortable to hear and in appearance I believe everyone understood when we made this decision to appoint Robbie that he'd be viewed in a particular way," Thelwell stated.
"The reality of circumstances is that we want to attract the top talent here.
"My view on Robbie's career and background is he didn't need my assistance in football.
"He served at Villa as a senior scout, after which he joined Norwich as head of scouting and then was elevated to player pathways manager.
"Before we recruited him, multiple top division teams sought to acquire him. What we did from the beginning of the process was discuss with Patrick, the chairman and vice-chairman Marathe about this situation.
"I remained highly open and I think he likely experienced a more rigorous process than any other employee by the team.
"What I do know is that he will work 25/8 to achieve success for Rangers and I anticipate to him demonstrating that he's going to be an excellent staff member for the club."

Additionally, Thelwell supported the acquisition of striker Youssef Chermiti, who arrived at Rangers for a reported initial fee of eight million pounds, having failed to score in 24 appearances for his previous club.

The sporting director who brought the Portuguese young international to Liverpool from Sporting - again for large funds in a fifteen million pound transfer.

He was asked if he stands by his multi-million pound signing, who is yet to register in seven matches for Rangers.

"Yes, very much so," Thelwell answered. "I believe the striker is a player who's possesses huge potential.
"I haven't questioned him whatsoever. Similarly, I believe the manager will help to get the best out of the player.
"These are initial stages for him, he's a young talent and of course with inexperienced players they occasionally require patience.
"However, I'm convinced over the course of his career at the club he'll demonstrate that he's a very, very good player."

The CEO Understands Supporters' Disappointment and Anger

Stewart was also facing firing line, considering the vitriol that has been directed at him by certain club fans.

There was even a banner in the Sandy Jardine stand during the recent tie with United suggesting him - and the sporting director - to pack his bags before being removed for him.

Like his sporting director, Stewart didn't evade the topic.

"I totally understand the frustration and anger that the supporters are experiencing because results recently haven't met expectations and nobody's happy with them," he stated.
"The pain and disappointment fans experience is matched within the boardroom.
"Also understand that there has to be a channel for that dissatisfaction and as chief executive, I'm responsible.
"I'm a lightning rod for such issues and my role as a
